What is a Split-System Air Conditioner?
Split-System air conditioning consists of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit connected by refrigerant pipework.
The indoor unit distributes conditioned air throughout the room, while the outdoor unit transfers heat to or from the outside. Modern systems can provide both cooling and heating, making them useful throughout the year rather than just during hot weather.
